What is a Leap Day Getaway? It’s a getaway that only happens once every four years on a Leap Year! Take advantage of a special that only comes around twice per decade!

Looking for Leap Day getaways? Take a leap this February 29th, or throughout the month of March, and we will cover your tank of gas* to get here, see the area, and get home (we will apply a maximum $40 credit toward your gas costs).

To qualify, you must be making a new, two-consecutive night, midweek, reservation (Monday through Thursday) between February 29–March 28, 2024. This offer cannot be combined with other discounts.

Leap Day Deals Near Rochester, MN

Turning Waters Bed, Breakfast & Brewery, in Wabasha, MN, is a 45 minute drive from Rochester, MN; is a 1-hour drive from Eau Claire, WI; 1.5-hour drive from Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN; and 3+-hour drive from Madison, WI. We did the math and if your vehicle gets 20-miles to the gallon, you might drive about-260 miles on $40 worth of gasoline!

If you drive an average of 60 miles per hour, you could have enough gas in your tank for about a 4-hour trip, which means depending on where you go, you could drive here, go sightseeing, drive home, and have leftover gas as a really useful souvenir.

Here are three of the best things to do in town.

2. National Eagle Center, located in downtown Wabasha, is 4 blocks from the B&B and offers live eagle demonstrations and much more. The National Eagle Center has some terrific programs during the winter months at their Riverfront Amphitheater.

3. Lark Toys in Kellogg, MN, 6 miles south of Wabasha, is one of the top Toy Emporiums in the World! With a hand carved working carousel, handmade wooden toys and more, you will have hours of indoor fun no matter your age.
