Turning Waters is the perfect spot to stay if you're looking for a beautiful riverside getaway! Close to Pepin, Winona, Red Wing, Trempealeau - so many beautiful spots. It's central to all of those locations, which makes it the perfect home base after a full day out and about. My husband and I stayed there for our minimoon, and it was wonderful. Brenda is the best hostess, and her breakfasts are delicious! She had great recommendations for us, and made sure we had everything that we needed. The place is so well kept, cozy, and walking distance to restaurants. We loved our stay, and will definitely be back!

We've stayed in many B&B's in our 22 years of marriage and there's usually an awkwardness at first as we go through the initial formalities. But this time, Brenda made us feel absolutely at home and completely pampered! Plus, she's a master story teller. :) The room was absolutely beautiful, the bed was so cozy, and the breakfast was amazing!

Who wouldn’t want to stay at a bed and breakfast with a cute brew pub in the back yard ? Brenda was an excellent host full of energy . The breakfast both mornings was homemade , filling and from scratch. Rosemary lemon scones were my favorite ! The room was nice , spotless , comfortable bed , I think our bathroom was was bigger than the bedroom portion. Fine by me ! The brew pub is adorable and lots of beer and seltzer’s to chose from . We would love to come back someday ! Thank you for a great Birthday weekend !

I really love this B&B! I stayed there in May - it was my second time staying with them. I love everything about it! The owners are friendly and fun, it's a beautifully decorated, cozy home with great atmosphere! The beds are comfy, the rooms are lovely, and the breakfast is to die for! The location is close to the beautiful river, and near enough to walk to a downtown pub! I felt safe, pampered, and well taken care of. I will go back! I highly recommend!

Turning Waters it's a solid five star B&B. The house is fantastic with a wrap around porch that's perfect for watching thunderstorms. Our room (Great Lakes) was spacious and inviting. Basically it's everything I like about old homes turned into B&Bs.But there are 2 things that make Turning Waters stand out. First of all, their garage had been converted to a brew pub and it's awesome. Not only are HoppyGirl's own beers good but they also offer beers from other local breweries. The atmosphere is super casual and friendly. But the real magic behind Turning Waters comes from the owner, Brenda. She is a powerhouse of positive energy and makes everyone feel special. When we ride the 3-speed Tour again I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else.

Brenda is an awesome Innkeeper! She made me feel right at home. Turning Waters Bed, Breakfast and Adventure is a comfortable home-away-from home. I felt completely relaxed here. The B&B is beautifully decorated and features lots of happy paintings by a local artist. Went for a gorgeous hike at Whitewater State park to the Chimney Rock. Wowee what a beautiful view!! There are lots of gorgeous places to hike near Wabasha MN. Also went for a beautiful walk along the river after dinner. The Mississippi River is about a block away from the B&B and there's a nice walkway there. Even better...there is a brew pub on premises called Hoppy Girl Brewing with many handcrafted beers. I enjoyed a delicious triple berry beer. Love their logo with the Hoppy Girl! Turning Waters B&B is the only B&B in Minnesota with a brew pub! How cool is that? My bed was super comfy. I felt like a princess (had to use a step to get up into the bed). Breakfast was amazing! I didn't need to eat again until dinner at about 5:00. I wasn't hungry during the afternoon. Note: You could easily stay at this B&B for a FULL WEEK and still not enjoy everything Wabasha MN has to offer. Thank you Brenda for a wonderful getaway! Can't wait to stay again!!

My freshly minted husband and I visited Turning Waters over Wabasha, MN's annual Grumpy Old Men festival weekend in late February, 2018. We booked it as a Minimoon weekend get-away, and with it being our first ever visit to a B&B, we were cautiously excited. What we were met with once we arrived completely blew us away. Brenda and Ford provided us with such a welcoming experience that we both agree it may never be surpassed! Brenda's easy-going nature made us feel immediately welcome, and Ford's quirky charm had us laughing straight away. We were given a tour of the house, during which were allowed to peek into the rooms that were waiting for their guests to arrive. Every room has its own character and cozy charm. Our River Room Master Suite was such an oasis, both to wake up in as well as come 'home' to. The rainfall shower over the jacuzzi soaker tub felt straight out of a spa and there were plenty of throw blankets to cuddle up with in over-sized swivel chair. Each morning we were greeted with freshly brewed coffee and a new, 5-course breakfast you almost wished would never end. The food was delectable, locally sourced and presented in such a way that Brenda's passion for cooking and caring for others easily shined through. The weekend passed all too quickly. We would not trade our experience for anything and hope to make it back for many anniversary trips!

This is an A++++ place to stay! I highly recommend Turning Waters because of the awesome hospitality from Brenda and Ford, the beautiful house and rooms, and the location near many points of interest. We stayed in the Coniferous Suite and it was so cozy with the fireplace there. Brenda's breakfast was so amazing we didn't need to eat again until dinnertime...lol! Brenda had lots of info for things to do and places to go locally. We wanted to go for a hike and ended up going to Maiden Rock in Wisconsin, which was a suggestion from her. Despite the brewery being closed due to the pandemic, but Brenda was kind enough to let us try the brews...which we enjoyed very much, especially the one that tasted like the radlers we had in Austria. My only regret is not taking pictures of the beautiful house and festive holiday decorations. There will be a next time!

Made the trip to Wabasha from the Twin Cities just to stay at this B&B for a romantic weekend getaway and it was absolutely wonderful! Brenda and Ford were fantastic hosts and we felt right at home. The coniferous room was beautifully decorated and we enjoyed multiple baths in front of the fireplace. When the weather turned rainy on us, the perfect solution was one of Brenda’s pub Pizza’s and delicious home-brewed beers in front of a movie! Great food, great service, very clean and cozy! We will return!!

I am a bit late in this review but not short in memory as to how wonderful our stay at Turning Water's was!We had booked several rooms for my sons wedding - then Covid hit. The graciousness of our host, Brenda, in helping us sort out our initial room reservations was, well, gracious. She was a wonderful host throughout, even aiding in my other son's 'pants too big and in the wedding party' debacle (he had flown in from fighting fires out west). There were countless considerations and niceties at an exciting but anxious time for us, and surely, a difficult business time for Turning Waters.Brenda, thank you for your welcome, warmth, incredible breakfast, beautiful rooms, your advice and the lovely tavern to congregate in.Your B&B is lovely - and you even more so.

We stayed at Turning Waters for a relative's wedding in the area. The rooms are spacious and decorated with a perfect nod to the local history and Brenda's good taste. While we were playing cribbage on the beautiful wrap-around porch, Brenda brought us a carafe of coffee (attention to details!). The breakfast was tremendous, with a delicious egg bake (using home grown ingredients), two types of bacon, homemade muffin, and a yogurt parfait! I haven't even mentioned Hoppy Girl Brewery that operates out a converted garage in the back yard (or the complimentary beer that comes with your stay). We have been to over 200 breweries in 7 different states in the last 3 years and Ford and Brenda's creative craft concoctions are second to none! The town of Wabasha has a lot to offer when you come visit but your stay at Turning Waters BnB/Hoppy Girl Brewery will become the highlight of your trip!

Turning Waters was a great stay. From Brenda's incredible home/local grown produce used in her breakfast feast! To her and Ford's Hoppy Girl Brewery out back that no matter the type of beer was always above average(way above). The brewery had great atmosphere with live music being played on the outside patio, The rooms of the house were warm and inviting and the beds were very comfortable.

Homey and welcoming. My husband and I stayed at Turning Waters for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday earlier this month. We had the Coniferous Suite which was perfect and beautiful. We loved the whirlpool tub and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with a main dish, meat side, scones, berries, honey yogurt with homemade granola, coffee and juice. And Brenda was so friendly, helpful and accommodating. She even had a birthday cake for me and another guest who was there celebrating her birthday. We would definitely stay here again. The attached brewery, Hoppy Girl, is an added bonus with great beer.

We spent the long Labor Day weekend at Turning Waters B&B in Wabasha and it was AMAZING! Brenda advised us of the best local places to visit during our stay, including wineries and dining. The B&B itself is a gorgeous, immaculate home that is absolutely stunning and the 5 course breakfasts Brenda created were so delicious! The craft brewery in the "backyard" - Hoppy Girl - had live music each night. They had a salted caramel beer that was out of this world!! We will definitely be back and would recommend this at the best B&B we've ever stayed at. Covid rules were followed to the letter and it was very safe and meticulously clean. Thank you Brenda and Ford for your hospitality!

The free beverage when you get there (us wine) in rocking chairs on a big old front porch perfect! If you have the chance to stay at Turning Waters, do so! We were greeted with world-class hospitality, delighted by Wabasha's small town charm, and swooned over the artfully designed guest rooms. Brenda and Ford have taken appropriate COVID measures, and we felt safe and welcome. Our names were written on the door (a sweet touch especially for honeymooners) and we wanted for nothing but more time in this place. Hoppy Girl beer, an unusual and welcomed perk, was fantastic - and I don't even drink much beer. We had a solid, quiet night of sleep, as things wind down at a reasonable hour at the brewery, and our bed was supremely comfortable.Lively conversation is likely at the brewery (and breakfast table!). We dined at a safe distance from another couple and enjoyed a healthy, tasty breakfast, plenty to tide us over for an afternoon of adventure. This was the perfect end to our low key Midwestern honeymoon. Upon hearing we are from Indianapolis, many asked us what in tarnation we were doing in the area. To that I say, why NOT be there? We will make the trek again!

Brenda welcomed us with a smile & tour of their spacious B & B & B! When she showed us the room we had booked (Coniferous) she offered an upgrade to a two room suite, the River Room, for no extra charge, since it was available. It was the perfect room for us with the jacuzzi, round chair, tv, refrigerator. The king size bed was super comfy. It was a hot day & the room was perfectly cooled with A/C and fans. After we had dinner, we each enjoyed two great brews from Hoppy Girl, conveniently located in the backyard.Breakfast was served at a long wooden table, socially distanced from the other couple staying at the B & B. Delicious food included hot coffee, egg & veggie bake, two kinds of bacon, berry muffins, juice, yogurt, granola & fruit cup.We will be happy to enjoy this B&B&B again! It's perfectly located near everything the Mississippi has to offer.

From the moment we walked in the front door it was as if we had always known Brenda. She made us feel so welcome and was quick to give advice on things to do in Wabasha. Everything about the house is inviting so make sure to take the time to browse through all the decor and artwork. We started our evening with a walk along the river and then headed to Hoppy Girls Brewing which is right on the property. The vibe and atmosphere here was like nothing we've ever experienced before. Brenda truly goes above and beyond to make every person's trip a unique experience. And if you have something spilled on your white dress she will run to the rescue to get it out. My wife thanks you for that! This truly was our home away from home. We are already planning our next trip back to Turning Waters! Thank you Brenda for making it such a memorable experience.

Spent an early fall weekend here to celebrate our second anniversary and had a stellar time. Brenda is a hard-working, generous host. Her husband Ford is an accomplished brewer who makes some serious craft beer, plus gets great taps/cans/bottles from other breweries. Wabasha is a charming little river town and we found ourselves along the river several times that weekend. The garage taproom is a place to rub elbows with locals and visitors, including the other guests. Our bed was super-comfy and our room was well-appointed and cozy. Breakfast was 5 courses, so we barely needed to snack before dinner time. And we got along famously with the other guests, literally went out both nights with other couples. We loved our stay, can’t wait to go back with some of our beer friends. (Bonus tip: late spring til early autumn, go enjoy a drive for Burger Night at Together Farms in Minong, WI. Farm-to-table experience on a charming farm. They have live music if weather is good, plus beer, wine, animals, kid-friendly and excellent fresh food.)

I certainly wish I could give this review more than 5 stars because Turning Waters deserves way more than 5!!We have been to several B&Bs, and Turning Waters, by far, beats them all!!! We've been here several times, and have stayed in all but one of the rooms. Each rooms feels comfortable, homey, and is decorated beautifully. The food served is AMAZING!! It's not your typical breakfast/brunch fare, and each time we have been there we've loved everything!Honestly, what truly sets this B&B apart from others are the owners, Brenda & Ford. Their warm hospitality, attention to detail, and ability to immediately make you feel like a friend are what make the B&B someplace you want to return to over and over and over and over...
